Mirella Espinoza About Mirella Espinoza

I was born and raised in Perú and am a native Spanish speaker. I studied Marketing in Caracas, Venezuela, and I sold children’s books for many years in Venezuela. I also worked in partnership with "Nube Luz," a Peruvian educational children's program in Perú. Now I am part of “Fiestas Team,” a series of King County Library workshops designed for Spanish-speaking families to prepare their children for kindergarten. I am also a presenter for Spanish Story Times at the Bothell branch of the King County Library System. I provide group and private Spanish classes in the Seattle area (Woodinville, Lake Forest Park, Kirkland, Bothell, Bellevue, and Seattle). “Every day I'm proud to see every child respond using Spanish words they’ve learned so far in their daily life! Children have fun learning Español!”

Our goal is to immerse children in the Spanish Language World! We offer interesting and fun ways of learning Spanish - through songs, stories, role-playing games, hands-on activities, and crafts. Children will be able to create conversations and learn vocabulary words grouped by topic with their respective native sounds. Parents can reinforce the language outside of class thanks to the handouts that we provide them in every class. We want to enrich children’s language development in fun 50 minute lessons in a series of 10 classes. We also provide this Spanish language program for schools, before and after regular classes.

I believe that learning a second language at an early age offers a great and unique advantage for a child. Young children are capable of learning Spanish easily and can pick up the language in a playful and fun way. Simple methods and a friendly environment allow the child to learn naturally and spontaneously. Positive results require patience, sensitivity, knowledge and time on the part of the teacher and support from the parents — being ready to work together! Creative and engaging lesson plans allow children to have fun learning Spanish.
